PURPOSE

To pay the fees of needy students.

NEED FOR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

ACCORDING TO RECENT SURVEY ONLY 11.40% OF INDIANS ARE OF “GRADUATE OR ABOVE” CATEGORY.
IN THE 2011 CENSUS IT WAS 4.7%!

The SPRJ Kanyashala Trust’s scholarship programmes provide financial aid to needy students to complete their Graduation / Masters programme.

In the Annual Scholarships the entire donation amount is utilized in the year of donation to pay part of the fees of needy students.

In the Permanent Scholarship Funds the interest from the corpus of each scholarship fund is used to pay part of the fees of needy students.

Your Help Changed My Life

I am Asma Chawdhary. I live with my four siblings and parents in a slum in Kurla. I am youngest among them. I have completed Bachelor in Management Studies in 2016-17. My father is retired. My mother is a housewife. During time of admission my BMS fees was so high my father was not able to afford my education fees. To supplement family income my elder brother started working as welder and was earning meager income. During my studies I was having ears problem.

I was not able to hear properly. I was operated twice but my operation was unsuccessful.I got medical help from SPRJK Trust. I completed my graduation because of help from Shama Koticha Assistance Fund for paying my exam fees. I also took Shama well loan to complete my graduation. I am very thankful to Shama Inc. Now I am working in HDFC Bank in loan department and earning a good package of Rs.180,000. p.a. Now I am another helping hand for my father to support the family.

Isharat Shaikh’s father has abandoned his wife and four children. Isharat’s younger siblings have left studies and are doing menial jobs. Isharat was able to complete her M.A. with the help of SPRJK Trust’s scholarships and is now working in Ways & Solutions Consultancy as a recruiter and is supporting her family.

Thanks to the scholarships, now I am a software developer in Reliance.

Chitra Patel’s father had a heart problem and couldn’t support her education. Chitra completed her Bachelor in Engineering with SPRJK Trust’s scholarships and has achieved her dream, working as a software developer in Reliance.

HOW WE SELECT STUDENTS FOR SCHOLARSHIP-

  • Application forms are filled by students needing Scholarship.
  • Students have to attach salary certificate, or electricity bills, or any other proof about their family’s financial status.
  • These applications are scrutinized by their respective teachers.
  • Applications are then submitted to the Committee members who once again scrutinize the forms.
  • Selection is done on per capita income basis (Total income divided by total number of family members)
  • Preference is given to orphans or students whose parents (income earning member) is bed ridden or unemployed.
  • Partial or full amount of fees may be given as scholarship.

FEEDBACK TO DONORS

  1. Donor will receive an annual report of the scholarship, the number of students who received help, their photos, their family constellation, living conditions and economic profile.
  2. Donors will also receive a letter of gratitude from the student along with exam results,
  3. Donors will receive a receipt for their contribution with the 80-G certificate for tax benefit.
