In DIYA / SHAMA programme a donor sponsors a child’s education for Rs. 5000/ US$ 120 for one year or one-time donation of Rs. 100,000 / US$ 2000 for lifetime sponsorship of one child from KG to Class XII. In lifetime sponsorship, once the student finishes Class XII, another child is selected, and so it goes on for as long as the interest from the original donation can over the education expenses. Both annual & lifetime sponsorship cover all schooling expenses such as fees, textbooks, notebooks, uniforms, shoes, all education accessories, educational trips, sports coaching, computer training, personality development and leadership training. The donor receives feedback on the child twice a year.

Our teachers visit the slums every year to convince parents to send their daughters to school with the promise that the trust will provide everything that the child needs to attend school.
Kaali and her family live in a slum. Her father is a delivery man and her mother is a coir rope maker. They live below poverty line and could not afford to send Kaali to school. Because of the donor’s sponsorship Kali is now studying in our school.
Mohini and her 5 family members live in a slum in Ghatkopar (W). Mohini is youngest among her 3 siblings. Her father is a street ear cleaner. Our teacher convinced Mohini’s parents that they will not have to spend a single rupee to send her to school. Mohini is first generation learner and she loves school.
Nandini and her family live in Golibar slums. Her parents are illiterate and earn meagre daily wages. They don’t have a fixed job. Nandini was admitted to our school where her life has been transformed.

Shweta and her 6 family members live in a single room in a slum. Her father who works as a security guard couldn't finance her education. Shweta worked as a data entry operator to pay for her studies but most of her income went to support her family.
