At our SPRJ Kanyashala School, all students are from Below Poverty Line (BPL) families living in Mumbai's slums and chawls, where access to nutritious food is often uncertain. Malnutrition and anemia affect children's health, concentration, and academic performance, increasing the risk of absenteeism and school dropouts.

In many cases, financial hardship forces families to prioritize immediate income over education. Children are often expected to work to contribute to household earnings so that the family can afford basic necessities, including food. As a result, many children are at risk of missing out on their education and future opportunities.

By providing monthly ration support, we encourage families to keep their children in school, enabling them to receive an education, build skills, and create a brighter future rather than entering the workforce at a young age.

Monthly Ration Sponsorship

Families will receive a monthly ration kit containing essential food items to help meet their nutritional needs and support their child's continued education.

Lifetime Ration Sponsorship

Create a lasting impact through a one-time contribution that supports a student's monthly ration expenses from Kindergarten (KG) to Class 10 (approximately 12 years). The interest generated from the corpus fund covers the child's ration support. After the student completes Class 10, another needy child is selected, ensuring continuous support for future generations.

At SPRJ Kanyashala Trust's Student Welfare Centre, many school children come from economically weaker backgrounds and struggle to get even one proper nutritious meal a day. Most students belong to low-income and BPL (Below Poverty Line) families, living in slum and chawl communities across suburban Mumbai, where regular access to hygienic food is uncertain.

For many children, especially younger students, proper nutrition is essential for growth, learning ability, and overall development. However, due to financial hardship, malnutrition, weakness, and lack of access to healthy food are common challenges. Food plays a crucial role in childhood development, and without it, children struggle with concentration, energy, and classroom participation.

Snacks can also be sponsored on special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, death anniversaries, Navratri festival, and wedding days, allowing donors to turn meaningful moments into support for students in need.

This daily snack support ensures that children receive at least one nutritious intake during school hours, helping them stay active, healthy, and ready to learn.

At SPRJ Kanyashala Trust's Student Welfare Centre, many college students come from economically weak backgrounds and struggle to afford even basic canteen meals. A large number of students travel long distances from their homes and are unable to carry tiffin boxes daily. As a result, they often remain hungry during lectures, which affects their concentration, energy levels, and overall academic performance.

For many of these girls, the mini lunch becomes a highly awaited and comforting part of their day. It not only meets their basic nutritional needs but also gives them relief from the stress of managing daily meals in difficult circumstances.

Mini lunches can also be sponsored on special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, death anniversaries, Navratri festival, and wedding days, allowing donors to turn meaningful moments into support for students in need.
