We have around 5000 students in our Junior & Degree Colleges, of which more than 75% students are from below poverty line or low-income families. Many students are unable to afford expensive textbooks required for their education.

To support such students, we run a Book Bank Program for needy students of our Junior & Degree Colleges. The program is generously supported by Priti & Dr. Ajay Mehta through an annual donation of USD 3,000.

The Book Bank currently benefits around 400 students every year. Students receive a full set of textbooks for the academic year and return them at the end of the year, after which the books are issued to the next batch of students.

Digital Resources

While the Book Bank supports many students, there is a growing need to provide learning resources to all 5000 students through digital access.

  • Students have become familiar with digital learning resources and confidently use e-resources for academic purposes
  • The unique feature of digital resources — "anytime, anywhere and on any device" — helps the library reach the maximum number of students in a user-friendly way
  • Professional course students often need to refer to several textbooks for each subject; digital resources provide access to multiple textbooks and reference materials on a single platform
  • Digital resources also help save physical storage space in the library and make maintenance easier

Knimbus Digital Library

To meet these growing academic needs, we subscribed to the Knimbus platform for our college library from the academic year 2022–2023 onwards.

Our annual Knimbus subscription is around ₹900k. Knimbus helps create a more accessible and efficient learning environment for all students.

Help us ensure that no student is deprived of education due to financial constraints.
